Dawn's Bag

Here is the latest bag I've made. I love how it turned out! First we have my aunt Frannie posing with it, then Dawn, the friend for whom I made the bag. Looks equally cute on both gals, don't cha think? (:

My bag...I need your opinion!

Here's the very first handbag I've ever made!!! I've been carrying it for almost 2 weeks, and I've gotten so many compliments! It was a little hard to photograph, so I had to bump down the brightness....that's why it looks a little like it's glowing. (:

I love this pattern....the pleats make the bag. However, I'm stuck on what button to use. Before I bought cover-able buttons, I just used a large clearish button, but it doesn't look right. Which one do you like best?: 1. the one that's on there 2. the main fabric pattern one 3. the pink polka-dot one that matches the lining (which I forgot to photograph).

bags, bags, and more bags!

I've been buying fabric, interfacing, and patterns like crazy, and my new obsession is bags! I just finished a diaper bag/purse for my friend Claire, and I made a onesie and burp cloth to match. The main fabric is Amy Butler, and the green accent fabric is from a local quilt shop. I'm mailing them out today, and I actually remembered to take pics first! Here they are:

Sylvie's birthday dress and a little tree hugger

I'm almost done with Sylvie's birthday outfit...just need to make some bloomers or maybe some ruffly jeans....
The pics of the dress aren't showing the true colors, most likely because I took them with artificial light. I'll take more in the daylight tomorrow.
The tree hugger sweatshirt is my newest etsy creation, but I definitely need better pics before I list it.

Easter dress pics

Although neither one of them wanted to hold still for pictures, I managed to get a few good shots of their dresses. How do you like Chloe stylin' with both dresses on?

Easter dresses for Chloe and Sylvie

Okay, so they weren't the most cooperative subjects today, but I was able to get some pics of the girls in their Easter dresses. Chloe's is done, but Sylvie's still needs bloomers and some work on the ties. I made these without patterns, and I think they turned out pretty well! I even made my own bias tape for Chloe's armhole edging and straps!

a REALLY FUN onesie dress!

Just listed this fun spring onesie dress on etsy....I'm working on more in pink and aqua blue....I am so loving my sewing machine right now!
